Gorilla 6 served many productions for a long time, and we appreciate every customer who has continued using it. However, Gorilla 6 has reached End of Life and can no longer be supported with installers, activation resets, or technical support.
If you are still using Gorilla 6, this page explains what has changed, why support ended, and how you can move your schedules and budgets forward into a newer version of Gorilla.
Software technology, operating systems, security standards, and third-party services change over time. Older products eventually reach a point where they can no longer connect securely, install reliably, or be supported on modern computers.
Gorilla 6 and earlier versions use older technologies that are no longer practical or secure for us to support. We understand that many customers preferred the older one-time purchase model, and we know that moving to a subscription model was not welcome news for everyone.
Our goal is not to leave long-time customers behind. Our goal is to help you move your existing work forward into a current, supported version of Gorilla so you can continue using your schedules and budgets on modern systems.
If Gorilla 6 shows an “Unexpected Error Querying Server” message when launching, it usually means Gorilla 6 can no longer securely connect to Jungle Software’s servers because of outdated authentication and connection protocols.
This is not usually a problem with your schedule or budget files. It is a compatibility and security issue caused by older software trying to communicate with newer server requirements.
The practical solution is to upgrade to a current version of Gorilla.

How to Upgrade Gorilla 6 Schedules & Budgets
Gorilla 11 is the current version of Gorilla and is designed for newer supported Mac and Windows systems.
Use updated breakdown sheets, stripboards, reports, screenplay import improvements, V.O./O.S./Non-Speaking tags, and more.
Use updated budgeting tools, currency options, actor placeholders, DOOD days worked into budget, globals, fringes, and reports.
Gorilla Premium includes Breakdown Assistant AI, which can help suggest production elements from imported screenplays while keeping you in control.
If you are unsure about moving from Gorilla 6 to the current subscription version, we encourage you to try the Gorilla 11 demo first.
You are welcome to try Gorilla for 15 days. If you decide to purchase during or after the trial, you can use your activation key to unlock the demo and continue working. You will not lose the schedules or budgets you created during the demo, as long as you do not delete your Gorilla files.
Make sure your computer can run the current version of Gorilla before installing.
