Gorilla 6 End of Life Information

Gorilla 6 Upgrade Instructions

Gorilla 6 served many productions for a long time, and we appreciate every customer who has continued using it. However, Gorilla 6 has reached End of Life and can no longer be supported with installers, activation resets, or technical support.

If you are still using Gorilla 6, this page explains what has changed, why support ended, and how you can move your schedules and budgets forward into a newer version of Gorilla.

Support ended: Gorilla 6 reached End of Life on December 31, 2024. Gorilla 6 may continue to run on some older computers, but Jungle Software can no longer provide installers, tech support, activation resets, or compatibility updates for Gorilla 6.

Why Gorilla 6 Reached End of Life

Software technology, operating systems, security standards, and third-party services change over time. Older products eventually reach a point where they can no longer connect securely, install reliably, or be supported on modern computers.

Gorilla 6 and earlier versions use older technologies that are no longer practical or secure for us to support. We understand that many customers preferred the older one-time purchase model, and we know that moving to a subscription model was not welcome news for everyone.

Our goal is not to leave long-time customers behind. Our goal is to help you move your existing work forward into a current, supported version of Gorilla so you can continue using your schedules and budgets on modern systems.

If You See “Unexpected Error Querying Server”

What This Message Means

If Gorilla 6 shows an “Unexpected Error Querying Server” message when launching, it usually means Gorilla 6 can no longer securely connect to Jungle Software’s servers because of outdated authentication and connection protocols.

This is not usually a problem with your schedule or budget files. It is a compatibility and security issue caused by older software trying to communicate with newer server requirements.

The practical solution is to upgrade to a current version of Gorilla.
